New Ammonia Refrigeration System

RBR Refrigeration Services designed and installed ammonia liquid re-circulation system for Nightingale Bros Orchards at Wandiligong, Victoria. This is for the long-term controlled-atmosphere storage of apples and other produce.

Nightingale Bros are best known for their family-owned orchards, growing Pink Lady Apples. They produce refreshing apple ciders, as well as selling locally produced honey, jams and preserves.

This installation included:

• 11 x Cool-Rooms
• 19 x Evaporators with Hot Gas Defrost
• NH3 (Ammonia) system
• 2 x Variable-Speed Reciprocating Compressor Packages
• 1 x Evaporative Condenser with Energy Efficient EC Fans
• Large Accumulator Pump Package
• Prefabricated  valve trains
• User Friendly PLC touch-screen system
